Nicecream is pleasure without regret: This vegan banana ice cream consists of only 2 ingredients and is ready in just 5 minutes!
Only five minutes, but in the mood for delicious ice cream? This super-quick banana nicecream recipe without milk, egg, sugar and Co promises pleasure without regret.
Taste and Occasion
This healthy ice cream with only two ingredients, also known as nicecream, has conquered the internet in a flash a few years ago. Admittedly, I only found out about it months after the trend started 😉 But now I make this vegan ice cream more often. Because the healthy banana ice cream is really, really delicious! Without milk, cream or egg. And without added sugar.
The recipe for the healthy ice cream without an ice cream machine is straightforward and reminds me of frozen yogurt recipes: mix two ingredients, topping, you're done.
Ingredients
The nicecream recipe contains only bananas and a bit of milk, for vegans or allergy sufferers, of course oat milk, almond milk or similar. So even though it's actually just frozen banana puree, the banana ice is an actual pleasant and sweet ice cream. I'm sure this is the fastest ice cream recipe you've made so far. You will need a blender or stand mixer (I have this one). It only takes three minutes to make. The only thing that might take a bit is the finishing or decorating. Because, like frozen yogurt, this healthy vegan ice cream "lives" on toppings - which can then turn it into a little sin pretty quickly 😉 .
How to make the Nicecream
Let's go - first things first: The banana pieces should have been frozen for at least 2 hours to make the ice cream. Let the pieces thaw briefly, put them into a blender (high-powered blender or similar) puree until they form a creamy mass and add some (plant-based) milk if desired until the consistency is right. Be careful not to make the purée too runny! Now, either enjoy the ice cream immediately or refine and top it as you like. Some examples: cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa nibs, chocolate drops, berries, crunch, coconut flakes, raisins, chia seeds and so on ...
Top Tip
Although I think that the vegan banana ice cream also tastes very good "pure". Crowned with little treats like chocolate drops, coconut flakes, berries, chia seeds, granola, cookie pieces and Co makes it visually prettier. Even cacao nibs, the raw and quite bitter pure cacao beans, taste really great in combination with this ice cream.

Variations
In my opinion, you don't have to follow all trends and hypes. Making natural, healthy ice cream yourself belongs to the exceptions. So: Try the banana ice cream recipe. I usually refine my vegan nicecream with chocolate in the form of (raw) cacao powder, sometimes also with almond paste. That's right: superfood! So with this ice cream, I do also something for my health (somehow 😉)!
